Canada is truly a waterfowlers paradise and its no wonder why Saskatchewan is known as “The Land of Living Skies” with its waterfowl rich areas running throughout the prairies. During the fall season see’s the mass migration of ten’s of thousands of waterfowl making their way from North of the Boreal Forest to the southern states to winter and it’s truly a sight to witness. Without a doubt one of the most beautiful places in the world to experience such a spectacle of huge numbers of ducks, geese and cranes making their long haul journey down to pastures new further down the Central flyway. Its no wonder why we’ve chosen to explore Saskatchewan further with its potential for amazing hunts in both the fall but also the spring! We’ve wanted to work with a top outfitter that we know would deliver world class hunts and take the very best care of our clients and we’ve taken the time to find the right outfitter to work with and we are pleased to say we’ve finally found the right guys to work with.
We are pleased to be teaming up with Apex Waterfowling in Saskatchewan, Canada and look forward to working with Ryan and his team to offer some of the most amazing waterfowl hunting in both the Fall and Spring Seasons. These guys are a massively passionate crew of Waterfowlers’ and have an absolute wealth of skills and knowledge to bring to the table, with some incredible talent within their team of guides. Our clients will be in safe hands as always and with a dedicated and fully committed outfitter who we know has our clients best interests at heart and will do their best to put our guys under the birds and give you the trip of a lifetime!
In the Fall and Spring we plan to offer both 3 and 6 day trips to suit every budget for the waterfowler, hunts in the fall will focus on hunts for ducks, geese and cranes! Absolutely delighted to be able to finally offer these mixed hunts as its something we’ve had clients asking for, for a long time. With liberal limits of 8 dark geese, 8 ducks, 20 snow geese and 5 cranes per hunter per day this increases hunters chances of getting in on some good action during their time in Canada however its important to remember these birds are still wild and there’s no guarantee’s. This makes for an amazing experience as it can be possible to have any kind of species come in during your hunts, one minute it could be a mob of mallards come bombing in followed by a swarm of snows, the opportunities are truly endless! During the Springtime hunts will purely target snow geese as they are enroute back to the North and their daily limit is 20 snows per person per day which is a little different than the likes of no limits in Arkansas and South Dakota. However this offers an equally amazing experience as spring in Canada is known for snows being a little easier to hunt and I use that term loosely as they are of course wild but can be a little more willing to play ball across the border! Apex have the right idea and have struck the balance of not only having amazing hunting but they’ve twinned this by offering a truly amazing lodging experience with outstanding Canadian cuisine to boot!
New for 2021 Apex will have their pride of place with a brand new hunting lodge being built for their new Saskatchewan base camp, it will be ready and waiting to receive our clients from Fall 2021 and will take the form of a beautiful 6400sgft purpose built hunting lodge on their private 10 acre location just a little North of Landis. The new lodge will offer 12 spacious single rooms for our hunters with huge queen beds for sleeping off those amazing Canadian culinary treats! With a huge living area kitted out with a big screen TV, comfy recliners for those post hunt naps, individual lockers for all our hunting gear and most importantly a fully stocked bar for those evening refreshments. What could be nicer than watching the sun go down over the prairie whilst sipping an ice cold beer round the fire pit at the end of a successful day in the Land of the Living Skie’s?!
